N2  - Es handelt sich um eine randomisierte, kontrollierte und einfach verblindete Studie, um Ultraschall und Nervenstimulation bei der axillären Plexusblockade (Multiinjektionstechnik) bezüglich Anschlagszeiten, Durchführungszeit, Blockadeerfolg, Komplikationsraten und Patientenkomfort zu vergleichen. Es ergaben sich nur kleine bzw. keine signifikanten Unterschiede in den Zeiten, Erfolgsraten, Komplikationsraten und beim Patientenkomfort. Bei gleicher klinischer Eignung ist die sonographische Methode zu favorisieren.
N2  - A randomized controlled study of axillary brachial plexus anesthesia (multiple injection approach) comparing ultrasound versus nerve stimulation. Outcome parameters were onset time, performance time, success rates, complications and patient comfort. Both techniques resulted in similar onset times,success rates, complications and patient comfort. Performance time was slightly shorter in der ultrasound group. Since there is the possibility to visualize and avoid complications and one can use ultrasound well with fractured and amputated limbs or children, we favor the ultrasound-guided technique.
