N2  - Die Transplantation ist die einzige effektive Therapie für irreversibel geschädigte Organe. Um jedoch das Transplantat vor der Zerstörung zu schützen, wird die Abwehrfunktion des Immunsystems gezielt geschwächt. Diese notwendige dauerhafte Schwächung mit so genannten Immunsuppressiva haben jedoch in ihrer Langzeitanwendung erhebliche Nebenwirkungen für die Patienten. Sie sind einer größeren Gefahr als die Normalbevölkerung ausgesetzt, an schwerwiegenden Infektionen und Tumore zu erkranken. Zwei antigenspezifische Strategien als Grundlage für zukünftige therapeutische Konzepte, die nicht die Immunabwehr behindern, werden unter dem Begriff "ideale Therapie" erläutert.
N2  - Transplantation is currently the only effective therapy for irreversibly damaged organs. Immunosuppressive agents are used to inhibit graft rejection. This is not however without risk for patients, since long-term suppression of the immune system increases the susceptibility to infections and malignant diseases. Two antigen-specific therapeutic strategies as basis for therapeutic concepts in the future described here as "ideal therapy" without impairing the immune protection necessary for life.
