  abstract  = {Die Internationalisierung im Einzelhandel ist eine vergleichsweise junge Entwicklung, die in den vergangenen beiden Dekaden stark vorangeschritten ist. Dabei haben viele Unternehmen die Erfahrung machen m{\"u}ssen, die Grundlage ihres im Heimatland erlangten Wettbewerbsvorteils zwar in einige M{\"a}rkte erfolgreich transferieren zu k{\"o}nnen, in andere M{\"a}rkte jedoch nicht. Worin liegen die Ursachen hierf{\"u}r? Trotz einer zunehmenden Zahl von Studien zur Internationalisierung im Einzelhandel gibt es immer noch ein mangelndes Verst{\"a}ndnis daf{\"u}r, unter welchen Bedingungen Unternehmen im Ausland erfolgreich sind, respektive wann sie scheitern. Einen theoretischen Rahmen zur Analyse der relevanten Erfolgsdeterminanten liefert die Institutionentheorie, die das Verh{\"a}ltnis zwischen Unternehmen und Gesellschaft betrachtet und gerade auch f{\"u}r interkulturelle Fragestellungen einen interessanten Untersuchungsansatz darstellt. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit die US-amerikanische Expansion des Discounters Aldi analysiert. Aldi bietet sich f{\"u}r eine solche Fallstudie an, da der Discounter sein an den deutschen Markt angepasstes Erfolgskonzept Ende der 1970er Jahre weitestgehend unver{\"a}ndert in die USA transferiert hat - in eine institutionelle Umwelt, die sich deutlich von der deutschen unterscheidet. Es dient außerdem als Ausgangspunkt f{\"u}r die Beschreibung der komplexen Netzwerke, in die der Verein und seine Akteur_innen eingebunden sind. Netzwerke, hier konzeptualisiert als Assemblages, bestehen nicht nur aus Menschen. Sie umfassen ebenfalls nichtmenschliche Tiere, Gesetze, Dinge, Institutionen, Diskurse und Erz{\"a}hlungen. Die qualitativen ethnographischen Einblicke in das Allt{\"a}gliche der Tierschutzarbeit werden gerahmt, begleitet und gest{\"u}tzt durch Ausf{\"u}hrungen zur Tierschutz- und Tierrechtsgeschichte. Außerdem gibt die Arbeit einen {\"U}berblick {\"u}ber Perspektiven auf nichtmenschliche Tiere aus verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen wie der Philosophie, den Natur- und Rechtswissenschaften.   abstract  = {Literary imitations of the testament form have a European tradition going back to classical times and constitute a neglected part of English literature. Although examples appear from the 14th century onwards, no thorough study of last wills and testaments as a specific form of English literature has been undertaken. This neglect may be because, within the broad field of the literary idea of 'legacy', parodies of the testament form ('mock testaments') and serious imitations ('lovers' testaments' etc.) appear in nearly every genre as either single texts or parts of larger ones, themselves crossing the genre boundaries. Then too, a large number of literary testaments come under the heading of 'minor literature' , such as shortlived pamphlets and broadsides. Yet the use which major authors like Shakespeare and Donne made of the literary testament shows that it had become an established form in the 16th century. The texts under examination here would normally be referred to as courtly love poems, political pamphlets, jests, cook-books, nursery rhymes, epic poems, autobiographical verse (Chatterton's Will), modern poems (yeats, Auden and McNeice) or as parts of masques, plays or novels. The aim is to show that one can legitimately speak of all these texts as belonging to a single literary category. In addition to adescription of the history of the literary testament in England, the central problem of this study was one of generic form. The attempt has been made to apply recent ideas of genre theory, i.e., the structuralist generative approach, to texts imitating a non-literary or utility document. This non-literary model is narrowly defined by criteria set by the Church and the Law. Thus it becomes possible to proceed as if the model were the generic norm of a corpus of greatly varying literary texts, thereby avoiding the problems of defming and re-defming selective principles (and of the need to assume a hypothetical 'first form') for the gathering of texts. The testament is a private re cord especially weil suited for studies of this kind because of its traditional fixed form and wide popularization from the Middle Ages onwards. In its complexity, the testament allows for more variation of style, content and purpose than does the letter, but is more disciplined in its form. In categorizing the testaments as such, it is necessary to study contemporary connotations and to defme the basic structure of the model. A selection of genuine, nonficticious testaments drawn up by members of the University of Cambridge in the 16th century has been examined for this purpose. (The 16th and 17th centuries can be taken as the most productive of literary testament writing.) There seems to exist a dichotomy in the testament itself; on the one hand there are mundane considerations (bequeathing of property) and on the other thoughts directed towards the life to come. Ihis dichotomy is observable not only on the content level, but also on the formal level and the semantic level. Ihe relation between the two testamentary elements, which is characterized by polarization, can be postulated as the basic structure of the testament and as the genre norm of the literary texts examined here. Taking into account the fact that the testament has been of varying importance in various ages, a wide selection of literary imitations of the testament from Chaucer to Yeats and after is studied in detail. A distinction may be drawn between mock testaments and serious imitations, with the former representing rebellion against the exalted authorities behind the testament. When the theoretical rebellion coincides with the practical function of satire or attack in a particular case, then the mock testament is raised to a true literary form. The serious imitation, on the other hand, makes use of the metaphysical element of the testament, and is directed to a worldly being or to the 'human condition' (as in examples drawn from the modern poets). Its problems and aim assign this study to the wider fjeld of genre research, particularly research into the relationship between genuine documents (utility texts) and their literary imitations.},

  abstract  = {Surveys by the Universities of Wuerzburg and Berlin, starting in the 1970´s have revealed the existence of palaeolakes in remote areas in Niger. Initial research has shown that the sediments found are suitable for reconstructing its late quaternary palaeoenvironment. Although a high number of investigations focused on the succession of climatological conditions in the Central Sahara, some uncertainties still exist as the results show discontinuities and mostly are of low temporal and spatial resolution. Two expeditions in 2005 and 2006 headed to the northeastern parts of Niger to investigate the known remains of palaeolakes and search some new and undetected ones. Samples were taken at several study sites in order to receive a complete picture of the Late Quaternary environmental settings and to produce high-resolution proxies for palaeoclimate modelling. The most valuable and best-investigated study site is the sebkha of Seggedim, where a core of 15 meters length could be extracted which revealed a composition of high-resolution sections. Stratigraphical, structural and geochemical investigations as well as the analysis of thin sections allow the characterization of different environmental conditions from Early to Mid Holocene. Driven by climate and hydrogeological influence, the water body developed from a water pond of several metres depth within a stable, grass and shrub vegetated landscape, to an alternating freshwater lake in a more dynamic environmental setting. Radiocarbon dates set the beginning of the stage at about 10.6 ka cal BP, with an exceptionally stable regime to 6.6 ka cal BP (at 12.6 metres' depth), when a major change in the sedimentation regime of the basin is recorded in the core. Increased erosion, likely due to decreased vegetation cover within the basin, led to the siltation/filling of the lake within a few hundred years and the subsequent development of a sebkha/salt pan due to massive evaporation. Due to the lack of dateable material in the upper core section, the termination of the lake stage and the onset of the subsequent sebkha stage cannot be determined precisely but can be narrowed to a period around 6 ka BP. The results obtained from the core are compared with those from terrestrial and lacustrine sediments from outside the depression, situated a few hundred kilometres further to the north. These supplementary study sites are required to validate the information obtained from the coring. Within the plateau landscape of Djado, Mangueni and Tchigai, two depressions and a valley containing lacustrine deposits, were investigated for palaeoenvironmental reconstruction. Depending on modifying local factors, these sediment archives were of shorter existence than IX the lake, but reveal additional information about the landscape dynamics from Early to Mid Holocene. A damming situation within a small tributary at Enneri Achelouma led to lacustrine sedimentation conditions at Early Holocene in the upper reaches of the valley. The remnants of the lacustrine accumulations show distinct changes in the environmental conditions within the small catchment, as the archive immediately responded to local climate-induced changes of precipitation. Radiocarbon dating of the deposited sediments revealed ages from 8780 ± 260 cal a BP to 9480 ± 80 cal a BP. The sites of Yoo Ango and Fab{\´e}rg{\´e} show a completely different sedimentation milieu as they consist of basins within the foothills of the Tchigai. The study sites show increased catchment sizes, probably extending towards the Tchigai massif and are most likely influenced by groundwater charge. The widespread occurrence of wind shaped relicts and the limited amount of lacustrine remnants indicate a generally high aeolian activity in both areas. Only in wind sheltered spots, parts of the lacustrine sequences were preserved, that show ages spanning from Early to Mid Holocene (9440 ± 140 cal a BP - 6810 ±140 cal a BP) and give additional evidence of fires from pre-LGM periods. Although intensively weathered, all profiles indicate distinct changes in the sedimentation conditions by alternating geochemical values and the mineralogical composition. The information obtained from the records investigated in this work confirms the heterogeneity of reconstructed environmental succession in the Central Sahara. The Mid Holocene rapid (within decades) and uniform development from more humid to extremely arid environmental conditions cannot be confirmed for the Central Sahara. In addition, a division of Early and Mid Holocene wet periods cannot be confirmed, either. Actually, the evidences obtained from the palaeoenvironmental reconstructions revealed major variations in the timing and extend of lacustrine and aeolian periods. Evidently, a transitional time has existed between 7 to 5 ka BP where alternating influences prevailed. This is indicated by the varying sedimentation conditions in the Seggedim depression as well as the evidence of soil properties on a fossil dune, with a time of deposition dated to 6200 ± 400 cal a BP and the removal of lacustrine Sediments at the Seeterrassental at Mid Holocene. In respect to provide a complete picture of landscape succession and to avoid misinterpretation, the investigation of several dissimilar spots within a designated study area is prerequisite for further investigations.},

  abstract  = {Der vorliegende Text ist das Transkript der ersten deutschen Gesamt{\"u}bersetzung von Suetons Kaiserviten, die 1536 bei dem Straßburger Drucker Jakob Cammerlander erschien und die in der Dissertation „Sueton in Straßburg. Die {\"U}bersetzung der Kaiserviten durch Jakob Vielfeld (1536)" (Spolia Berolinensia; Verlag Olms, Hildesheim 2017) umfassend untersucht worden ist. Das Transkript pr{\"a}sentiert diese {\"U}bersetzung, obwohl Digitalisate des Cammerlanderdruckes existieren. Dem liegt zugrunde, dass das Transkript im Zuge der erw{\"a}hnten Dissertation entstand, deren Zentrum der direkte und detaillierte Textvergleich bildet; der Nachvollzug dieses Textvergleichs sollte mithilfe des entsprechend aufbereiteten Transkripts erleichtert werden. Außerdem war es das Ziel, neben den Detailuntersuchungen auch den bisher wenig beachteten deutschen Sueton als ganzen st{\"a}rker zur Geltung zu bringen. Aber auch ohne die Konsultation der Studie kann das Transkript Grundlage f{\"u}r den bequemen Vergleich der {\"U}bersetzung mit dem lateinischen Text in der Referenzausgabe von Maximilian Ihm (editio maior, 1907) sein. Gegen{\"u}ber dem digitalisierten Druck sind die deutschen Kaiserviten besonders durch zwei Eingriffe f{\"u}r moderne Leser aufbereitet worden: Zum einen enth{\"a}lt der fr{\"u}hneuzeitliche Druck keine Abschnittsz{\"a}hlung, sodass es umst{\"a}ndlicher ist, fr{\"u}hneuhochdeutsche Textstellen den entsprechenden Passagen in der Ausgabe Ihms zuzuordnen, und so ist das Transkript durchg{\"a}ngig mit Abschnittsziffern ausgestattet, die sich an der lateinischen Edition orientieren. Zum anderen kommen bei der Wiedergabe der deutschen {\"U}bersetzung - auch dies in Analogie zu Ihms Ausgabe - konsequent moderne Interpunktionsregeln zum Einsatz, wodurch sich die gedanklichen Strukturen des Textes leichter {\"u}berblicken lassen und dieser insgesamt fl{\"u}ssiger zu lesen ist.},
