Dabei treten Inkonsistenzen zutage, die sich dem prek{\"a}ren Verh{\"a}ltnis der Medien zur Sprache verdarrken: Der Code-Begriff ist nicht eindeutig bestimmt; die Engf{\"u}hrung von Wahrheitsmedium, Logik und Wissenschaftssystem bedeutet eine Verkennung der Logizit{\"a}t von Sprache; es bestehen Widerspr{\"u}che zwischen der kommunikativen und der evolutiven Rolle der Sprache. Luhmanns Versuch der Marginalisierung von Sprache bleibt mithin nicht ohne Auswirkungen auf die Schl{\"u}ssigkeit der Medientheorie.},

  abstract  = {River banks are naturally disturbed habitats, in which local flood events and the landscape structure are expected to govern riparian species assemblages. Not solely effects of flooding per se, but also related changes in vegetation structure will affect species' distribution. By elucidating the relationships between species' occurrence and multivariate habitat conditions on a restricted spatial scale, insight into conservation strategies to preserve riparian species is gained. Ordination and grouping methods revealed important environmental and functional trait constraints on species composition of predatory riparian arthropod assemblages. Mainly flooding disturbance appeared to affect spider and carabid beetle species composition. Habitat affinity and dispersal ability were retained as important traits explaining similarity between arthropod assemblages. River banks similar in species composition differed in absolute and functional group species richness. Furthermore, Poisson regressions demonstrated the importance of variation in discharge regime, sediment composition and vegetation structure for the preservation of rare riparian arthropods. Whereas hygrophilic species benefited from increased vegetation cover, xerothermophilic specialists were favoured by increased flooding disturbance. In contrast to flight-active riparian carabids occurring throughout the river system, especially cursorial spiders are expected to go extinct under increased anthropogenic alterations of discharge regimes. We show the importance of a dynamic and evidence-based approach of river management on a local scale to preserve vulnerable riparian arthropods. In general, river restoration should generate the required heterogeneity in environmental conditions (e.g. dynamic processes) at the river bank level, thereby increasing the sustainability of riverine landscapes. More-over, we argue that the understanding of functional responses towards environmental factors results in general and widely applicable guiding concepts for species conservation.},

  abstract  = {The use of the motif of beauty in the Vulgate on the one hand and in LXX/HS 151 on the other hand reveals a conspicuous difference. While Judith just makes herself beautiful (Jdt 10,2-4 LXX/ Hs 151) and her original God-given beauty is a precondition (Jdt 8,7), in the Vulgate it is God who gives her beauty. So beauty is not an inherent part of Iudith's characterization anymore, to be seen in line with integrity and blessing by God as it was the case for the LXX and Hs 151. In the Vulgate beauty loses its significance, because Iudith is only given beauty in order to awake the hostile general Holofernis' desire, so that he will fall. While Holofernis is going to succumb to his evil desire, Iudith sets herself morally apart because of the contrary, her chastity, and because of that she is not initially characterized as beautiful, but as decent (elegans, Jdt 8,7). In Idt 10,4 virtue rather than desire is assigned to her. Because of her chaste way of life God predestines Iudith for the salvation, and this is what he makes her beautiful for. Therefore chastity is a central and specific virtue in the Iudith story in Vg. Iudith represents everything that Jerome describes as a Godfearing life, and therefore she is rewarded by God. Tue variants in Idt 8,7 and Idt 10,4 in comparison to the other text versions show St. Jerome's typical profile of the Iudith story and aim at this message.},

  abstract  = {Mit der vorliegenden Studie werden die {\"U}berzeugungen von berufst{\"a}tigen Grundschullehrkr{\"a}fte zum Umgang mit nicht-deutschen Erstsprachen im Unterricht untersucht und die Bedeutung formaler und informeller bzw. non-formaler Lerngelegenheiten f{\"u}r diese {\"U}berzeugungen analysiert. Die Ergebnisse der Fragebogenstudie (N = 123) zeigen, dass die Mehrheit der befragten Lehrkr{\"a}fte davon {\"u}berzeugt ist, dass Erstsprachen zumindest zeitweise einen Platz in ihrem Unterricht haben sollten. So stimmen beispielsweise 75 \% der befragten Lehrkr{\"a}fte der Aussage mindestens teilweise zu, dass die Sch{\"u}lerinnen und Sch{\"u}ler von Zeit zu Zeit Lerninhalte in ihren Erstsprachen besprechen d{\"u}rfen. Dem Einsatz von nicht-deutschen Lernmaterialien im Unterricht stehen knapp 60 \% der Lehrkr{\"a}fte mindestens positiv gegen{\"u}ber. Die multiplen Regressionsanalysen zeigen, dass sich die erstsprachenintegrierenden {\"U}berzeugungen anhand der Nutzung von formalen und informellen bzw. non-formalen Lerngelegenheiten teilweise erkl{\"a}ren lassen. Eine formale Aus- und Weiterbildung im Themenbereich des Deutschen als Zweitsprache hat einen positiven Einfluss auf die {\"U}berzeugungen von Grundschullehrkr{\"a}ften zum Einbezug von Erstsprachen in ihren Unterricht. Zudem sind es auch informelle bzw. non-formale Sprachkontakte (wie etwa Alltagskommunikation oder Mediennutzung in einer Fremdsprache), deren Nutzung die {\"U}berzeugungen der Grundschullehrkr{\"a}fte hinsichtlich des Umgangs mit Erstsprachen im Unterricht beeinflussen.   abstract  = {Human heterophile antibodies (HHA) that are present in normal human sera (NHS)play an important role in hyperacute xenograft rejection. The aim of this study was to analyze the occurrence, mode of action and molecular specificity of HHA in NHS that are directed against xenogeneic Iymphocytes (isolated from mouse, rat, guinea pig, rabbit, cattle and pig) and isolated rat pancreatic islets. All sera contained variable amounts of HHA that killed the target cells via the classical complement pathway. The cytotoxic activity of these HHA was specifically inhibited by certain carbohydrates (a-D-melibiose, ß-Iactose, ß-gentiobiose, ß-cellobiose, D-mannose, N-acetyl-ß-D-mannosamine and a-D-rhamnose) and by rat IgM. By means of affinity chromatography with immobilized inhibitors we obtained an antibody preparation of mainly IgG type from NHS (up to 3.5 mg/IO ml serum) that reacted strongly with rat lymphocytes and isolated rat pancreatic islets. Though thus far residual xenospecific antibody activity has remained in the sera even after multiple affinity chromatography, these data suggest that specific elimination of HHA is feasible and that it may be thus possible to overcome a major obstacle to xenotransplantation.},

  abstract  = {This article deals with discursive and argumentative strategies used by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to bring science in discredit during the 2020's COVID-19-pandemic. Based on official statements and Tweets launched over the crisis the Discourse-Historical Approach is applied to make strategies brought into play by Bolsonaro visible. While the President declares scientific advice such as distancing and quarantine as ineffective, he recommends the use of hydroxychloroquine as well as old fashioned prayers for staying safe and healthy. He evokes that there are «fake news» and «partners of paralysis», to which he responds by demasking and bringing the one and only truth towards «the people». The analysis points out that Bolsonaro is downplaying the virus and the risk of transmission and puts the economy ahead of health. His supporters as a consequence tend to ignore the WHO recommendations how to behave during the pandemic.},
