N2  - Der Vergleich der Verfahren Karotisstenting und Karotis-TEA an der Universitätsklinik Würzburg zeigt, dass bei richtiger Indikationsstellung sowie ausreichender Erfahrung der Neuroradiologen, CAS eine ernstzunehmende Alternative zu CEA darstellt. Besonderes Augenmerk lag dabei auf periprozeduale Komplikationen sowie Langzeitergebnisse bezüglich Tod,Insult und Restenose.
N2  - Comparing carotid artery stenting and endarterectomy at the university of Würzburg, we showed that CAS is a serious alternative to CEA if the right indication is given and when interventionalists have enough experience. Our endpoints were periprocedual complications and long-term outcomes regarding stroke, death and recurrent stenosis.
