N2  - Background: Sterols and Sphingolipids form lipid clusters in the plasma membranes of cell types throughout the animal and plant kingdoms. These lipid domains provide a medium for protein signaling complexes at the plasma membrane and are also observed to be principal regions of membrane contact at the inception of infection. We visualized different specific fluorescent lipophilic stains of the both sphingolipid enriched and non-sphingolipid enriched regions in the plasma membranes of live protoplasts of Arabidopsis thaliana. Results: Lipid staining protocols for several fluorescent lipid analogues in plants are presented. The most emphasis was placed on successful protocols for the single and dual staining of sphingolipid enriched regions and exclusion of sphingolipid enriched regions on the plasma membrane of Arabidopsis thaliana protoplasts. A secondary focus was placed to ensure that these staining protocols presented still maintain cell viability. Furthermore, the protocols were successfully tested with the spectrally sensitive dye Laurdan. Conclusion: Almost all existing staining procedures of the plasma membrane with fluorescent lipid analogues are specified for animal cells and tissues. In order to develop lipid staining protocols for plants, procedures were established with critical steps for the plasma membrane staining of Arabidopsis leaf tissue and protoplasts. The success of the plasma membrane staining protocols was additionally verified by measurements of lipid dynamics by the fluorescence recovery after photobleaching technique and by the observation of new phenomena such as time dependent lipid polarization events in living protoplasts, for which a putative physiological relevance is suggested.

Analysiert werden in diesem Kontext die Romane "Flugasche", "Die Überläuferin", "Stille Zeile Sechs", "Animal triste" und die Familiengeschichte "Pawels Briefe". N2  - Eines der Schlagworter, das die Hochschullehre in den letzten Jahren für sich entdeckt hat, ist das Blended Learning. Nach einer Ernüchterung über das Potential von eLearning, setzte sich die Idee der Kombination aus Präsenzlehre und eLearning immer stärker durch . Die Entstehung zahlreicher universitärer eLearning- und Blended-Learning-Zentren tritt den Beweis dafür an, dass die Ergänzung des herkommlichen Hochschulunterrichts durch eLearning-Einheiten nicht mehr nur das Steckenpferd einiger technikaffiner Dozenten ist, sondern weitreichende Akzeptanz an Hochschulen gefunden hat. Die Universitiit Würzburg hat 2007 mit dem Beginn ihres Blended-Learning-Projekts entschieden, der Hochschuldidaktik einen höheren Stellenwert einzuräumen und der Entwicklung neuer Systeme damit Tür und Tor zu öffnen. Inzwischen ist nicht nur die Lernplattform Moodle unter der Bezeichnung WueCampus universitätsweit etabliert. Im Zuge des Blended-Learning-Projekts wurde auch ein computerbasiertes System für fallbasierte Trainingseinheiten (CaseTrain) entwickelt, das die Präsenzlehre in fast allen Fakultäten unterstützt und damit problembasiertes Lernen aus der Medizin und den Rechtswissenschaften in andere Fakultäten trägt. Auch die Universitätsbibliothek hat schnell das Potential dieser Software für die Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz erkannt und setzt das System seit 2008 mit zunehmender Akzeptanz bei den Studierenden ein.
N2  - One of the catchwords that has recently been established in university lecturing is blended learning. After disillusionment about the potential of e-learning, the idea of combining face-to-face facilitation with computer-mediated instruction became more and more prominent. The development of numerable e-learning and blended-learning centers submits evidence that the supplementation of conventional university lecturing by e-learning is no longer a hobbyhorse of a few technophile lecturers. It has rather become highly accepted by universities. The University of Wurzburg decided to increase the importance of didactics and to support the development of new systems by initiating a blended-learning project in 2007. Meanwhile, not only the learning management system Moodle, which is called WueCampus in Wurzburg, has been established at the university. In the course of the blended-learning project, a computer-based system for case-based training units (Case Train) was additionally developed. It supports face-to-face instruction in almost every faculty and carries case-based learning from the faculties of medicine and law into further faculties. The university library soon recognized the potential of this software for teaching information literacy and has used the system successfully since 2008.

Me (III) mit CS\(_2\) entsteht in praktisch quantitativer Ausbeute C\(_5\)H\(_5\)Co(PMe\(_3\))CS\(_2\) (IV). Die Kristallstruktur zeigt, dass der Carbondisulfid-Ligal'ld iiber Kohlenstoff und ein Schwefelatom (S(2)) dihaptogebunden vorliegt (Co-C = 1.89, Co-S(2) = 2.24 A, S(2)-C-S(1) = 141.2°). Die beiden C-S-AbsUinde in IV (C-S(2) = 1.68, C-S(l) = 1.60 A) sind gegenliber dem C-S-Abstand in freiem CS\(_2\) (1.554 A) aufgeweitet, was in Einklang mit dem aus spektroskopischen Daten zu folgernden starken 1T-Akzeptorcharakter von h\(^2\)-CS\(_2\) steht. IV reagiert mit Cr(CO)\(_5\)THF und C\(_5\)H\(_5\)Mn(CO)\(_2\)THF zu den Komplexen C\(_5\)H\(_5\)(PMe\(_3\))Co(SCS)Cr(CO)\(_5\) (V) bzw. C\(_5\)H\(_5\)(PMe\(_3\))Co(SCS)Mn(CO)\(_2\)C\(_5\)H\(_5\) (VI), in den en das in IV nicht am Cobalt gebundene Schwefelatom S(l) als Koordinationspartner gegenüber den 16-Elektronen-Fragmenten Cr(CO)\(_5\) und Mn(CO)\(_2\)C\(_5\)H\(_5\) fungierl. Die spektroskopischen Daten von IV, V und VI werden diskutiert.
N2  - C\(_5\)H\(_5\)Co(PMe\(_3\))CS\(_2\) (IV) is formed in practically quantitative yield in the reaction of C\(_5\)H\(_5\)Co(PMe\(_3\))\(_2\) (I) or the heterobinuclear complex C\(_5\)H\(_5\)(PMe\(_3\))Co(CO)\(_2\)Mn(CO)C\(_3\)H .. Me (III) with CS\(_2\). The crystal structure shows that the carbon disulfide bonds as a dihapto ligand through the carbon and one sulfur atom (S(2)) (Co-C = 1.89, Co-S(2) = 2.24 ft., S(2)-C-S(1) = 141.2°). The two C-S bond lengths in IV (C-S(2) = 1.68, C-S(l) = 1.60 A) are greater than in free CS\(_2\) (1.554 A) which is in agreement with the strong 7T-acceptor character of h\(^2\)-CS\(_2\) as shown in the spectroscopic data. IV reacts with Cr(CO)\(_5\)THF and C\(_5\)H\(_5\)Mn(CO)\(_2\)THF to give the complexes C\(_5\)H\(_5\)(PMe\(_3\))Co(SCS)Cr(CO)\(_5\) (V) and C\(_5\)H\(_5\)(PMe\(_3\))Co(SCS)Mn(CO)\(_2\)C\(_5\)H\(_5\) (VI) respectively, in which the sulfur atom S(l) that is not bound to cobalt coordinates to the 16-electron fragments Cr(CO)\(_5\) and Mn(CO)\(_2\)C\(_5\)H\(_5\). The spectroscopic data of IV, V and VI are discussed.

N2  - Elektronische Semesterapparate, verstanden als kompakte Sammlungen der Literatur in elektronischer Form, die für eine Lehrveranstaltung benötigt werden, sind aus der universitären Lehre nicht mehr wegzudenken. Da die Universitäts- und Hochschulbibliotheken die Studienliteratur vorhalten, bietet es sich an, dass die Bibliotheken hier als Dienstleister fungieren und Wege finden, elektronische Semesterapparate einzurichten. Für die Hochschule insgesamt bietet ein zentralisierter Semesterapparat-Service die Möglichkeit, digitale Dokumente für die Lehre aus einer Hand, in standardisierter guter Qualität und rechtssicherer Form anbieten zu können. Im Sommersemester 2008 ging die UB Würzburg mit den elektronischen Semesterapparaten an den Start. Im Sinne einer "one stop"-Lösung wurden die im Auftrag der Dozenten gescannten kleinen Teile aus Büchern und Zeitschriften in die entsprechenden Kursräume der uniweiten E-Learning-Plattform "WueCampus" integriert. Der handgestrickte Workflow stieß bald an seine Grenzen. Dies und die steigende Nachfrage nach dem Service waren der Grund für die Entwicklung eines Workflowsystems für elektronische Semesterapparate, das die UB 2011 einführte. Mithilfe dieses Workflowsystems gelang es, zentrale Schritte im Bearbeitungsprozess zu automatisieren. Der Artikel resümiert die Anforderungen an ein Workflowsystem für elektronische Semesterapparate, stellt die einzelnen Module näher vor und resümiert die Erfahrungen mit dem neuem Workflowsystem.

N2  - The zwitterionic \(\lambda_5\) Si-spirosilicate bis[ citrato(2-)-0\(^3\) ,0\(^4\) )[ ( dimethylammonio) methyl]silicate (4) was synthesized by reaction of (MeO)\(_3\)SiCH\(_2\)NMe\(_2\) (3) with citric acid (molar ratio 1 :2) in acetonitrile at room temperature and isolated, after crystallization from water, as the hydrate 4 · H\(_2\)O (yield 81 %). The crystal structure of 4 · H\(_2\)O was studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The alcoxide oxygen atoms and central carboxylate oxygen atoms of two citrato(2-) ligands and one carbon atom coordinate to the silicon atom of 4 · H\(_2\)O. The coordination polyhedron around the pentacoordinate silicon atom (SiO\(_4\)C framework) can be described as a distorted trigonal bipyramid, the two carboxylate oxygen atoms occupying the axial sites. The \(\lambda_5\) Si~silicon(IV) complex 4 also exists in solution (DMSO, H\(_2\)O).

Die Kristall- und Molekülstruktur von 4 wurde bei - 100 °C mittels einer Einkristall-Röntgenstrukturanalyse untersucht. Außerdem wurde 4 durch NMR-Untersuchungen in Lösung charakterisiert (CD\(_3\)CN: \(^1\)H, \(^{13}\)C).

The crystal structures of 5, 5 · H\(_2\)O, and 6 were investigated by Xray düfraction. Furthermore, 5, 5 · H\(_2\)O, 6, and the related zwitterionic \(\lambda_5\)-spirosilicates 1 · 1/4 CH\(_3\)CN, 2 · CH\(_3\)CN, 3 · CH\(_3\)CN, and 4 were characterized by solid-state NMR spectroscopy (\(^{29}\)Si and \(^{15}\)N CP/MAS). The pentacoordinate silicon atoms of 5, 5 · H\(_2\)O (two crystallographically independent ZWitterions and two crystallographically independent water molecules), and 6 (two crystallographically independent zwitterions) are surrounded by four oxygen atoms and one carbon atom. The coordination polyhedrons around the silicon atoms of 5 and 6 can be described as distorted (5) or nearly ideal (6) trigonal bipyramids, the carbon atoms being in equatorial positions. 5 forms intramolecular and 6 intermolecular (--+ formation of dimeric units) N- H···O hydrogen bonds. The coordination polyhedrons around the two crystallographically independent silicon atoms of 5 · H\(_2\)O can be described as a nearly ideal and slightly distorted square pyramid, respectively, the carbon atoms being in the apical positions. In the crystal lattice of 5 · H\(_2\)O, intermolecular N-H···O and 0-H···O hydrogen bonds between the zwitterions and water molecules are observed. The results obtained by X-ray diffraction and solid-state NMR spectroscopy are consistent for each compound studied.

N2  - The zwitterionic tetrafluoro(pyrrolidiniomethyl)silicate (6) was synthesized by the reaction of trimethoxy(pyrrolidinomethyl) silane (7) with hydrogen fluoride in ethanol/hydrofluoric acid (yield 83%). 6 crystallizes in the space group P2\(_1\)fc with two crystallographically distinct molecules in the asymmetric unit. In both molecules the pentacoordinate silicon atom is surrounded by four fluorine atoms and one carbon atom, the latter being in an equatorial position. The coordination polyhedron of the silicon atoms can be described as a slightly distorted trigonal bipyramid. The zwitterionic structure was also proved for dissolved 6 (solution in CD\(_3\)CN, NMRspectroscopic studies).
