N2  - Ziel der vorliegenden retrospektiven Studie war die Nachuntersuchung der 239 klinisch und histologisch gesicherten N0-Karzinome der Mundhöhle in Abhängigkeit vom OP-Regime des Patientenguts. Alle 239 Fälle waren in der Klinik und Poliklinik für Mund-Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie der Universität Würzburg zwischen 1981 und 1997 operiert worden. Es wurden unterschiedliche Therapiekonzepte miteinander verglichen. Ermittelt werden sollte, in welcher Radikalität bei Patienten mit klinisch-radiologischem N0-Befund vorzugehen ist. Zusammenfassend lässt sich aus den Ergebnissen folgern, dass unter kurativem Gesichtspunkt bei N0-Karzinomen der Mundhöhle eine konservierende Neck dissection der ipsilateralen und gegebenenfalls eine suprahyoidale Ausräumung der kontralateralen Seite als indiziert angesehen werden muss.
N2  - Objective of this retrospective review was the follow up examination of the 239 records of cases of mouth cancer with clinical and histological firmed negative (N0) necks of the oral cavity depending on the regime of surgery. All 239 cases were operated at the surgery clinic and policlinic of the University Würzburg between 1981 and 1997. A variety of therapies were compared in order to ascertain the depth of radicalness necessary for therapy of patients with clinical and histological N0 necks. In summary, it can be concluded that under a curative aspect for N0-Carcinoma of oral cavity a conservative neck dissection ipsilateral and, if applicable, a suprahyoidal type kontralateral is induced.
