N2  - Kaum ein anderer Teil des menschlichen Körpers ist in der Lage, gefühlsmäßige Regungen in derart differenzierter Form auszudrücken wie die Mimik. Über den Zusammenhang zwischen muskulärer Aktivität und Emotionen wird versucht, in einigen Aspekten auch die Beziehung von Stimmungen zur Rückenmuskulatur herzustellen. Vor allem wird jedoch auf die Mimik als Verständigungsmittel eingegangen. Die neuroanatomische und neurophysiologische Basis der Mimik wird dargestellt sowie der Zusammenhang zwischen Stimulus-Situation und Emotionen einerseits und Emotionen und Ausdruck andererseits. Störungen dieser Beziehungen werden anhand von psychiatrischen und neurologischen Erkrankungen erläutert. Aus dem Ausdruck von Konflikten in der Mimik werden einige Bedingungen für psychosomatische Störungen nicht nur im Rückenbereich, sondern auch bei Kopfschmerzzuständen und Streßverhalten abgeleitet.

Sie ergänzen den im Dialog abgefassten Haupttext um epische Partien, die bei der Lektüre das imaginäre Bühnengeschehen illustrieren und bei einer Inszenierung in Bewegung umgesetzt werden. Gebärden und Körperhaltungen der Darsteller werden ebenso beschrieben wie ihre Ausstattung, Kostüme und Requisiten, bis hin zu farblichen Einzelheiten. Anknüpfend an die neuere Forschungsdiskussion über die Medialität geistlicher Spiele fragt die Autorin nach der spezifischen Funktion farblicher Regieanweisungen. Wie die Gattung des Spiels zwischen Textualität und Performativität, Theatralität und Ritualität changiert, kommt auch der Farbe ein eigener medialer Status zu, so die These. Die farblichen Regieanweisungen sollen Leser dazu anregen, zunächst einzelne Details, dann konkrete Bilder und schließlich das gesamte Passionsspiel zu imaginieren.

N2  - The recent developments in microprocessor electronics and time-code equipment have vastly improved the efficiency of working with video material so that through the combination of data processing and video recording equipment a substantial rationalization of both data acquisition procedures and functional control of the recording machines may be achieved. Such a system, in which video editing and time-code control equipment is interfaced to a process computer, has been developed for the analysis of human communicative behaviour. The system provides exact indexing of the recorded material, automatic search and edit routines for the videotape machines and synchronicity of registered data. In summary, it can be maintained that given a sound theoretical basis, modern video and computer technologies can substantially increase the efficiency and accuracy of behavioural observation and analysis.

N2  - To reopen educational institutions and return to the classroom, we all need to modify how we act to successfully face the challenges of the new normal resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and entailing our insights into and the after-effects of the pandemic. More specifically, the new normal might encompass online education we are getting used to during the pandemic and the age-old onsite education as well. Thoughtfully integrated, online and onsite learning combine to create blended learning. However, the pertinent literature reveals that English as a foreign language (EFL) students and teachers differently perceive and react to blended learning in diverse contexts. This study was designed to explore student and teacher perceptions of and reactions to blended learning in the Department of English, Jahangirnagar University in the new normal. Fifty undergraduates of EFL and eight teachers of the department participated in the study. To collect data from them, the Student Questionnaire and the Teacher Questionnaire were used. And the data were processed by applying the SPSS programme module. The findings revealed that the majority of the students and the teachers had mostly positive perceptions of blended learning, although the former did not have sufficient exposure to online learning and the latter lacked adequate insights into online teaching. Further, both the students and the teachers expressed mostly positive reactions to blended learning in the new normal, though the former deemed online examinations inadequately smooth and reliable, and the latter had insufficient experience of online instruction and assessment. The study categorically recommends reforming the curriculum, adopting relevant instructional strategies, developing suitable materials, customizing the assessment, integrating and installing technology, training the teachers, upskilling the students for blended learning, improving the infrastructure, and adjusting the management.

N2  - Although the Letter of Aristeas mentions the translation of the Jewish nomos into Greek, it is striking that worship is not a fundamental theme of this writing. Nevertheless, six passages present acts of worship, which recount worship from different perspectives: Aristeas prays to God and explains his “Greek” idea of worship (Let. Aris. 17), whereas in Let. Aris. 132-140 the high priest explains the Jewish concept of worship. Sacrifices and prayers at the temple in Jerusalem for the Ptolemaic royal house are told in Let. Aris. 45, while at the Ptolemaic court in Alexandria one of the Jewish scholars prays at the beginning of the symposium (Let. Aris. 184-186). Then the daily prayer of the Jewish scholars are recounted in Let. Aris. 305-306 and finally the Ptolemaic king performs a proskynesis before the law at the end of the letter and thereby accepts the translation (Let. Aris. 317).

Drei Getreidearten – Emmer (Triticum dicoccon), Einkorn (Triticum monococcum), Nacktgerste (Hordeum vulgare) –, eine Hülsenfrucht – Erbse (Pisum sativum) – und Lein (Linum usitatissmum) als Öl- und Faserpflanze fanden sich in den Proben, welche aus archäologischen Strukturen genommen wurden. Wildpflanzen wie Weißer Gänsefuß (Chenopodium album-Typ), Schwarzer Nachtschatten (Solanum nigrum) oder Gezähnter Feldsalat (Valerianella dentata) könnten durchaus die bandkeramische Küche bereichert haben. Als Besonderheit dürfte das Grannenfragment von Pfriemengras (Stipa) gelten, welches in den wohl offenen Wäldern in der Umgebung der Siedlung wuchs.
N2  - Archaeobotanical plant macro-remain investigations in the Early Neolithic site of Gallmersgarten-Mörlbach provide a set of cultural plants typical for that period. Three cereals - emmer wheat (Triticum dicoccon), einkorn wheat (Triticum monococcum), barley (Hordeum vulgare) –, the legume pea (Pisum sativum) and flax (Linum usitatissimum) as an oil- and fibreplant have been found in the samples taken from archaeological structures. As most of the documented wild plants, as white goosefoot (Chenopodium album-type), black nightshade (Solanum nigrum) or narrow-fruited cornsalad (Valerianella dentate) are edible, these plants could have been used during the Linear Band Ceramic Culture. Birch (Betula), hazel (Corylus avellana) and pine (Pinus sylvestris) represent more or less open forests in the vicinity of the settlement, where feather grass (Stipa) was also distributed.
