N2  - Die Verwendung von Dried Blood Spots zur serologischen Diagnostik auf Antikörper gegen opportunistische Erreger im Rahmen einer HIV Infektion, wurde unter simulierten afrikanischen Extrembedingungen validiert. Ziel war es zu zeigen, dass Dried Blood Spots unter idealen Lagerungsbedingungen für 4 Wochen stabil bleiben und anschliessend eine valide Antikörperdiagnostik möglich ist. 
Diese Methode kann als Möglichkeit für einen einfachen und kostengünstigen Probentransport in Tansania dienen.
N2  - The use of dried blood spots for antibody detection under tropical conditions was evaluated for a 12 week period under several storage conditions which should simulate african climate.
We could show that DBS can be used for blood samples, obtained in rural african areas, to ship them to urban laboratory centers without loosing antibody stability when stored in gas-impermeable bags with desiccant.
