Verwendet wurden hierbei C6-Rattengliomzellen aus denen durch retrovirale Transfektion von VEGF cDNA in sense Richtung ein stark VEGF exprimierender Zellklon generiert wurde.
N2  - The influence of PTK 787/ ZK 222584 -a VEGFR 2 antagonist- shown in an animal modell. C6-Rat glioma cells where implanted into the cortex of Sprague-Dawley rats. After early or late treatment with PTK 787 all animals were monitored at post-implantation day 12 using MRI-Technology. Immunohistology was used to measure vascularisation- and proliferation index and apotosis rate.
