  • The early 13th century trope gradual Provins 12 from Chartres cathedral is a testimony for the late usage of tropes in North of France. The subject of my study is the repertoire of the proper liturgy tropes from the manuscript Provins 12. The available collection of tropes comprises 132 items. In my dissertation, I have examined the tropes concerning their regional specifics and historical layers, taking into account provenance and transfer routes within the tradition of sharing tropes. The aim was to clarify the following questions: WhatThe early 13th century trope gradual Provins 12 from Chartres cathedral is a testimony for the late usage of tropes in North of France.
