• The present work addresses the synthesis of novel borole derivatives derived from the Ph4C4BR' framework (R' = substituent at boron). Furthermore, the reactivity of selected boroles towards Lewis bases, saturated and unsaturated substrates as well as under reduction conditions was analyzed. Within this context new strategies for the synthesis of conjugated organoboron compounds were developed.
