• KALLIMACHOS baut an der Universitätsbibliothek Würzburg ein Digital-Humanitites-Zentrum mit den Arbeitsschwerpunkten OCR, digitale Edition, Textmining und quantitative Analyse auf. • Kallimachos is to set up the Würzburg Center for Digital Humanities. The new center with its special focus on OCR, digital edition, natural language processing, and text analytics will provide a technical and social infrastructure to support research in the humanities by offering a wide portfolio of digital services and by developing innovative tools, workflows, and digital methodologies for the entire process chain of text-oriented research. Six model projects from disciplines as diverse as papyrology, history, German, English, French, LatinKallimachos is to set up the Würzburg Center for Digital Humanities. The new center with its special focus on OCR, digital edition, natural language processing, and text analytics will provide a technical and social infrastructure to support research in the humanities by offering a wide portfolio of digital services and by developing innovative tools, workflows, and digital methodologies for the entire process chain of text-oriented research. Six model projects from disciplines as diverse as papyrology, history, German, English, French, Latin and Ancient Greek philology, philosophy, and education illustrate the capability and usefulness of the project’s assets.
