• In August 2004 the authors of this report undertook a survey on the Genus Oenothera (evening-primroses) in the valley of the river Main between the cities of Schweinfurt and Bamberg (Bavaria, Lower and Upper Franconia). 22 different taxa were identified, most of which are new to Bavaria, one new for Europe (Oenothera hazelae Gates) and another one new for Middle Europe (Oenothera stucchii Soldano).
