  • The human monoclonal IgM-antibody PAM-1 induces apoptosis of stomach carcinoma cells in its monomeric form in vitro as well as in vivo. It binds an the post-transscriptionally modified receptor CFR-1 which is pre- sent on nearly all kinds of epithelial carcinoma cells and their precursor le-sions. Here, the intracellular mechanisms after PAM-1/CFR-1 binding are characterized by (de)phosphorylation of proteins and their selctive inhibition.
