• In this contribution, chants of the followers of the Argentine football team Boca Juniors are analyzed with regard to possible identity constructions and othering. The results of the corpus-driven discourse-linguistic analysis demonstrate in particular metaphors and topoi that can be highlighted as a constitutive part of the discursive construction of a Boca Juniors supporters’ identity and the otherings of River Plate hinchas.
