  abstract  = {Radioaetive leueine was ineorporated by N eurospora crassa mitoehondria in vivo in the presence of cyeloheximide. When the membrane protein of these mitochondria was ehromatographieally separated on oleyl polymethaerylie aeid resin, \& nurober of fraetions were obtained whieh differ with respeet to their eontents of radioaetivity and eytoehromes. The highest speeifie radioaetivity was found in the fraction eontaining eytoehrome aa3• This fraetion proved to be a pure and enzymatically aetive cytoehrome oxidase. Its ratio of absorbanee at 280 nm (ox)/ 443 nm (red.) was 2.1. By means of sodium dodeeylsulfate gel-electrophoresis, this enzymewas separated into five polypeptides with molecular weights of 30000, 20000, 13000, 10000, and 8000. Only the polypeptide with the molecular weight 20000 displayed a high specific radioaetivity.},

Phases were assigned by direct methods, malring use of the 'tangent formula'. Although the conformation of the free acid resembles that of the silver salt in being cyclic, there are differences in the hydrogen bonding pattern. These featurcs are discussed in relation to the cornplexation of metal ions by m.onensin.},

  abstract  = {W{\"a}hrend einer viermonatigen Reise zu allen neun Azoreninseln wurde der gesamte Brutvogelbestand dieses Archipels untersucht. Die Befunde sind in einer detaillierten Artenliste zusammengefaßt, erg{\"a}nzt durch {\"o}kologische und brutbiologische Anmerkungen. Zahlreiche Beobachtungen lassen vermuten, daß vor allem Stieglitz und Kanarienvogel t{\"a}gliche und auch jahreszeitlich bedingte interinsulare Fl{\"u}ge unternehmen. Die Laut{\"a}ußerungen sechs verschiedener Vogel arten sind in Klangspektrogrammen dargestellt. Ein mathematischer Ansatz zeigt, daß sich die Anzahl der auf einer bestimmten Insel br{\"u}tenden Landvogelarten umgekehrt proportional zur Entfernung zum europ{\"a}ischen Festland und proportional zum Logarithmus naturalis der Inselfl{\"a}che verh{\"a}lt. Die abgeleitete Formel l{\"a}ßt sich prinzipiell auch auf andere Atlantikinseln anwenden, die weitgehend vom Festland isoliert sind.},

  abstract  = {The observed impurity induced far-infrared absorption in CsCl : Rb\(^+\) and CsCl : K\(^+\) is compared with a calculated density of acoustic phonon states in CsCl. The absorption due to CsCl : Rb\(^+\) displays a minimum between the acoustic and optic phonon bands. A narrow line is observed in CsCl: K\(^+\) at 85.8 cm\(^{-1}\) which falls in this quasi-phonon gap.},

  abstract  = {Das Rechtsinstitut der Culpa in contrahendo (Cic) wurde von der deutschen Rechtswissenschaft und Rechtsprechung entwickelt, um die vertraglichen Haftungsnormen einschl. der Schutzpflichten f{\"u}r Leib und Eigentum auf den vor-vertraglichen Bereich zu erstrecken. Diese Erstreckung ist f{\"u}r die genannten Schutzpflichten weder dogmatisch begr{\"u}ndbar noch praktisch notwendig. Die funktionell f{\"u}r den Schutz des allgemeinen Erhaltungsinteresses zust{\"a}ndige Deliktsordnung reicht hier v{\"o}llig aus. Der auf den vor-vertraglichen Bereich erstreckte Schutzbereich des Schuldvertrags ist durch dessen Funktion als rechtliches Instrument des G{\"u}ter- und Leistungsaustauschs bestimmt und erfasst nicht das Interesse an der Integrit{\"a}t der gegen{\"u}ber jedermann gesch{\"u}tzten Rechtsg{\"u}ter, insbes. an der Unversehrtheit von Person und Eigentum. Personen- und Sachsch{\"a}den sind f{\"u}r das vor-vertragliche Verhandlungsschuldverh{\"a}ltnis ebenso wenig normrelevant wie f{\"u}r das Zielvertragsverh{\"a}ltnis. Der Schutzbereich des Cic-Schuldverh{\"a}ltnisses ist daher auf Verhalten zu beschr{\"a}nken, das Bezug zu dem konkret intendierten Leistungsverh{\"a}ltnis (Zielvertrag) aufweist.},

  abstract  = {A small fraction of HeLa cells within an exponentially growing culture showed cisternal differentiations, such as cytoplasmic as well as intranuclear annulate lamellae and special smooth surfaced endoplasmic reticulum aggregates with a typical "Cotte de maillet" appearance. Additionally, clusters of dense granules were observed in the cytoplasm which were often associated with polysomes and strongly resembled the so-called "heavy bodies" known in particular in diverse oocytes. The functional meaning of these structures is discussed. Moreover, it is deduced from the ultrastructural identity of the pore complexes in the nuclear envelope and the cytoplasmic and intranuclear annulate lamellae that the pore complex material with its highly ordered arrangement is not a structure characteristic for nucleocytoplasmically migrating material, but rather is a general structural expression of a tight binding of ribonucleoprotein (RNP) to cisternal membranes. The pore complexes are thought of as representing sites of a RNP-storage. A similar functioning is hypothesized for the "heavy body"like aggregates. To the current hypotheses on the formation of annulate lamellae and the nuclear envelope, which are based on the concept of membrane continuities and constancies, the alternative view of a self assembly mechanism of membrane constituents on nucleoprotein structures is added.},
