• Die Studie befasste sich mit den Veränderungen des oralen Mikrobioms bei Patienten, die mit einer herausnehmbaren oder festsitzenden kieferorthopädischen Apparatur behandelt wurden. Während des sechsmonatigen Studienzeitraums wurden 25 Probanden hinsichtlich Streptococcus mutans und Lactobacillus mit dem CRT bacteria Test der Firma Ivoclar Vivadent untersucht. Abgesehen davon wurde ihre gingivale Gesundheit mittels Approximalraum-Plaque Index nach Saxer und Mühlemann und Papillenblutungsindex nach Lange et. al. ermittelt.
• The study looked at changes in the oral microbiome in patients treated with removable or fixed orthodontic appliances. During the six-month study period, 25 test persons were examined for Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus with the CRT bacteria test from Ivoclar Vivadent. Apart from that, their gingival health was measured using the approximal plaque index according to Saxer and Mühlemann and the papillary bleeding index according to Lange et. al. determined.
