This thesis deals with the preoperative and perioperative treatment as well as the postoperative process like complication rate and flap healing. Two groups were formed: Group A consisted of 34 patients who either got only one DP flap (15 patients) or only one PM flap (19 Patients). Group B consisted of 7 patients, who were provided with more than one flap. In this case the PM and the DP can coexist. The PM and DP with their high flap healing rate are appropriate for reconstructions in the head and neck area, even though the diversity of complications and the complication rate are significantly higher in the case of the DP than in the case of the PM.show moreshow less
