Seine gerade bei Frauen weiter steigende Inzidenz unterstreicht seine gesellschaftliche Bedeutung und die Notwendigkeit die Therapiemöglichkeiten weiter zu verbessern. Diese Studie durchleuchtet die Auswirkung einer kurativ intendierten chirurgischen Entfernung eines Bronchialkarzinoms mit systematischer Lymphadenektomie auf die 5-Jahres-Überlebensrate der Patienten, sowie den Einfluss der intraoperativen Gabe von Erythrozytenkonzentraten.
• Lung cancer is the most common malignancy leading to death. Its rising incidence in women just underscores its social importance and the need to improve the treatment options. This study sheds light on the effect of a curative surgical removal of a lung cancer with systematic lymphadenectomy on 5-year survival rate of patients and the effect of intraoperative administration of packed red blood cells.
