- The isolation and structure elucidation of natural products (naphthoquinones, dimeric naphthalenes and naphthyl isoquinoline alkaloids) from cell and root cultures of Triphyophyllum peltatum is described. Furthermore, experiments on the biosyntheses of the naphthyl isoquinoline alkaloids using 13C2 labeled precursors are reported. Additionally, callus cultures of Aloe saponaria were established and secondary metabolites were isolated.
